Assaí Atacadista, a Brazilian cash & carry chain owned by the French group Casino, is present in 23 Brazilian states with 269 stores. In 2011 it turned to GIC to automate its physical stores with RUB, a solution for managing store operations, with the aim of increasingly improving the consumer experience.
Implementing the solution supported the store’s operations and optimized the workflow by automating tasks that were previously manual, which resulted in increased employee productivity and more efficient management of the operation.
Before using RUB, it took between four and six hours to check labels for discrepancies. With the tool, it took less than two hours to check, and the indicators of out-of-date labels fell from 28.5% to 4.2%.
In just four months after implementing the solution, out-of-stock levels fell from an average of 18% to 4.5%.
All these gains are reflected in the day-to-day work of employees, who are happier and have more time to devote to the customer. Since then, Assaí’s performance has only improved over the 12 years of its partnership with GIC.
The chain found in RUB a solution capable of keeping up with its significant growth, better organizing its stores and improving customer service. GIC technology has opened up horizons of efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
GIC is proud to be part of the success story of this great corporation.
