Assaí Atacadista, a Brazilian cash & carry chain owned by the French group Casino, is present in 23 Brazilian states with 269 stores. In 2011, it sought GIC to automate its physical stores with RVB, store operations management solution, with the aim of enhancing the consumer experience.
The implementation of the solution facilitated the store’s operations and improved the workflow by automating previously manual tasks, resulting in a rise in employee productivity and a more effective management of the operation.
Before implementing RVB, it required between four and six hours to analyze labels for any discrepancies. With the tool, it took less than two hours to do the verification, and the indicators of outdated labels decreased from 28.5% to 4.2%.
Within four months of implementing the solution, stock-out levels (lack of products on shelves) fell from an average of 18% to 4.5%.
All of these positive changes are reflected in the day-to-day activities of employees, who are more engaged and have more time to devote to customers. Since then, Assaí’s performance has only improved over the 12 years of its partnership with GIC.
The chain found that RVB was a solution capable of keeping up with its significant growth, better organizing its stores, and improving customer service. GIC technology has significantly improved efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
GIC is proud to be part of the success story of this exceptional company.
