After taking part in last year’s APAS Show, whose theme was the importance of the human being in the activity, GIC Brasil is now guaranteeing its presence at the second edition of the fair since the outbreak of the pandemic. APAS SHOW 2023 presents the new “Beyond Food” concept, which reflects the inclusion of technology, innovation, logistics, finance, infrastructure and equipment, among other relevant areas for the food retail industry in the country, which moves more than R$ 600 billion in the country.

This year’s and last year’s themes caught the attention of the innovation and technology company based in Alphaville (SP). “It matches our outlook. We are increasingly defending the sense of humanized technology, in our internal practice and with our clients. We also look at the sector in an integrated way, with its different areas along the supply chain. It has everything to do with the theme of the fair,” says GIC Brasil’s Marketing Manager, Samantha Bueno. Even with technological advances, it’s worth noting that, in line with the concept of last year’s fair, “what’s essential is human”. This means that human presence and participation are crucial to ensuring the success and effectiveness of food and beverage retail. The harmonious integration of technology with the importance of human and personalized service was present in the five axes of last year’s fair.

It is undeniable that retail automation and the use of technology have brought advantages, such as reducing operating costs and improving the customer experience. Self-service systems allow customers to make their purchases more quickly and efficiently, without having to wait in queues. This is precisely one of the functions of RUB’s automated management system, Papa Filas, in which the order is registered while the customer is still in the queue and transmitted directly to the cashier.

For APAS 2023, the expectation will be to bring together companies from the entire production chain to network, do business and share knowledge about best practices. The common goal is to improve the consumer experience. The “SUPERNOVA” Management Congress will be a platform for participants to keep up to date with industry trends and discover new ideas and products to improve food retailing.
